Hi everyone. I am a new member, recently purchased a eclipse gst 1997 and I have a few questions

Quick background, when I purchased the car it all seemed fine, low miles, decent shape. But after getting it home it blew an oil line the day of purchase.

The hotside housing of the turbo cracked and I'm looking to replace it. I'm not sure where to go from here. I've been browsing this forum looking for ideas, and browsing different sites like forced performance and extreme psi. TURBOS ARE SO EXPENSIVE JEEZ. I have the money but I'm just unsure what to get and want to make sure I buy the right thing. I need advice, I don't want to push a ton of horsepower, I'm first just looking to get the car running again and reliable, and then down the road possibly mod it to push more boost.

What I want to do is buy a bigger turbo that can be run at lower boost without a ton of modification reliably, do that I can later, when I'm ready, push it harder(evo 3 16g/small 16g).

Can I do this with a evo 3 16g? Or will I need upgraded injectors and fuel pump to even run it on lower boost (12-14 psi). Same with small/big 16g?

Does anyone on this forum possibly have a turbo they would be willing to sell used??? I already messaged a couple people from older posts, but no responses yet.

Should I just go back to the stock turbo till I'm ready for a bigger one???

Also where is a good place to buy bigger fuel injectors? In case I want to go with the evo 3/small 16g?

Does kinugawa make good turbos: ???

They seem cheaper than other websites.

Thanks in advance and sorry for the long post and lots of questions.

Eliot.

I am sure you are looking through the VFAQ for the timing belt.
These are helpful videos for the job. Of course the 2g is slightly minor differences.
