General looking for free 1G logging software

You'll need to make a cable (or buy one), but either MMCd or Tunerstein/Palm-n-stein ought to do what you need for a 1g.

For some reason the 1.5 version of mmcd no longer has the ecu reader test on it (if it does I cant find it). I went back to using the 1.3d version which has the ecu code reader on it.

Thought it was just me that couldn't get the ECU trouble codes on MMCD. If someone can tell where they are on the latest version, would be great

Huh? I have 1.5 and can read codes. ECU codes are with the actuator test and injector screen as 'Test' under the Mode menu. Tap MMCd in the upper left while looking at the saved logs list to get to the menu. They were moved there in 1.4.

There is a version 1.6n developed by a 3S guy but not integrated back into the mainline MMCd sourceforge tree yet. It has some nice features like peak hold and additional bug fixes.

Sure, Tunerstein or Palm'n'stein work fine for a 2g. You just need an $85 cable from Multiplex Engineering. See:

I have a palm v and the 3.1 os on it. I went to the palm website and it says there isn't an upgrade for the OS. is there a way I can put on 3.5 so it can run this software of is there another option for those running the 3.1 version of the palm os?
