my eclipse gsx 97 is turning over but will not fire and im wondering what possibilities of it could have been. when it died i was driving and changed from first gear to second gear and as i was starting to take off it just died didnt kill engine just when i pressed the gas pedal in it would not give any gas or nothing just rev'd all the way down and cut off. i never herd any pop or anything to that knowledge

almost to the point of getting her running wonderful again and selling >.<

Have you tested the 3 items; spark, fuel and compression?

Check for spark at all 4 plugs, verify that fuel is getting to the fuel rail and that your injectors pulse and check your compression.

We can go from there then.

when i use a screwdriver in my plug wires with it plugged to the coil pack it isnt creating any spark as far as i know all my fuses are ok but getting a tester tomorrow so ill check that tomorrow it is getting fuel to the fuel rail

have not tested the injectors as of yet gonna get a volt meter to make sure they produce fuel through them as well

well replace the coil packs and the fuses wires ohm'd out fine if i remove fuel from the fuel rail it does return which means the pump hasta be working as well compression is alittle low its at 130psi on all 4

how do u make injectors pulse?

like ive said before im not getting spark from the coils to the plugs ide love to use a obd link to check my engine code but i dont own 1 >.<

told a few other problems could be
crank shaft position sensor
cam shaft position sensor

looking for more imput as well

fuel pump is good
fuel rail good
injectors are all ohm'd out and test fine

2g No Start Diagnosis

Seems to me like you're "shotgun troubleshooting" and just replacing parts and throwing money at a problem that you haven't LOGICALLY troubleshot. You might as well wrote up a list of everything that could cause a no spark problem and then throw a dart at the list with your eye's closed, then replace whatever the dart hit.

:dsm:

well the thing is those codes on power Tr and crankshaft and camshaft all were on it

the plugs and wires were put on like 2 weeks ago roughly from scheduled maint and the coils well those were my only real waist but yeah day at a time with it barrowed a obd this cleared all codes and figured why the hell not after i got no spark from coils that it had to be the coil packs at that point but ehh FAIL time to check timing and everything seems like a hella waiste now a days >.<

update

gone through the steps on how to diagnose a no start under no spark
EVERYTHING seems to be in new or working order under that ohm'd out and everything >.< bout to just say screw it and tow it to the dealership to have them handle this mess ### hell im so lost at what else to do

Take and unplug the coil pack at the three wire plug. That that plug you should have one wire that is 12v with key on engine off. If that's there then pull your fuel pump fuse or pull injector wires off of injectors. Now you'll need some on else to crank the car over. With a test light (alagator end on the + side of the battery probe the other two remaining wires are going to be a ground flash so your test like should be on off like crazy. Also make sure your testing the plug thats on the engine wiring loom side. Please do these things and let us know so we can help you out from there.
