I might be buying an HX35 off of a friend who moved away a few years. He never installed it, and from the pictures he sent me, it looks like the compressor housing outlet to the intercooler is aimed right back at the head of the engine.

Is it possible to rotate the compressor housing on these turbos without killing any performance?

Of course, Just clock the compressor housing down, the center section where the feed is up and the drain is down and thats it. Clocking the compressor housing will not affect performance.
Im assuming your going to use an external WG. If using internal and you clock the compressor, you may have to remount the WG.
