what is the best and cheapest way to log with the 420a. i have a laptop and a xm-1/lc-1 wideband. i need to start logging stuff so i can change injectors and run more boost. do the loggers for the gst-gsx loggers work with the 420a? links to products would be nice.

I thought you were planning on getting rid of your car?
I'm running with the emange to do all mine, but I dunno about anything else. I thought the LM-1 came with logging software for up to 3hours. Cause that would have been the cheapest route in my opinion.

i might keep my car. the lm-1 does log. it requirs the lm-3 to do this (another 280) and i don't have the lm-1 anyway. i have the lc-1 and the gauge or xd-1. i called innovate and they don't make the software to let me logg with my laptop for this setup yet.

Should be under $200 to get the PocketLogger from www.digitaltuning.com Not sure of the exact price, but it's close. Other than that, I don't see how you can log using your wbO2 since there is no support for it from the manufacturer. I know my Zeitronix Zt-2 supports logging, but I'm not even going to use it, since the MSnS will log for me. If you want to log wbO2, I'm thinking you're either going to need a new wb that supports it. Wish I could help more, but this is all I've got on the subject.

EDIT:
A quick glance at the PocketLogger site reveals that Mike has set it up to actually read the data from the Zt-2 data port, so you don't even need a laptop to log with wb anymore. Sure, you saved a couple bucks with that Lc-whatever wb, but I guess you get what you pay for. Zt-2 all the way.

well i talked with the guys at innovate and they should be done with the software in a month or so so i can log with it. after i buy that 250 dollar part.

also i didn't save any money. my wideband kit was like 365 hich is about the same as the zt.

Damn. Live and learn, I guess. So now you've spent $400 on this wb, now another $250, takes you up to $650 altogether to do what my Zt-2 does for $400. Sucks.

yes it kinda does. however the wideband i have is very clean. it installs into a regular gauge pod like the aem. it also is programable to read in anyway i want(0-50 afr) also when i get my logging setup it will read 5 different engine stats(rpm, tps, boost, egt, fuel pressure,ect...) as well as afr. oh yeah and i can program the color of the lights on the gauge.

ok noob ? what all do you need to get the rpm, fuel psi, air intake temp, and all that info on a laptop i would really like to do this.

i think you can buy a obd 2 interface for your car. since your a 95 i dont know. but since you broght back this old post.(this is good since that means some people actually search on the site.:thumb: ) i am going with msns now and i did keep my car.

95s can use OBDII loggers, they weren't absolutely fully compliant, but enough so...

If anyone is looking for a good logging system I'm developing something to do the job right now. Actually, its all developed, I'm just waiting for parts so I can make a few of them. My whole goal with this project was to make a pocketlogger for under $50 (and that includes EVERYTHING: the cables, the interface, and even free software). I'll have a tech article up as soon as I can.

The only downside, is that because its OBDII, there's no obvious way to log inputs like wideband O2 sensors, etc.. But hey, it can measure fuel trims, vacuum, speed, RPM, the works, on either a Palm or a laptop, whichever you choose.
