So my Transmission wouldn't let me shift. I know this sounds stupid. But the staked nut came loose under the end cap. It has alot of free play and I feel as if it's causing the clutch disk to not fully release due to the splined input shaft to sag and I feel it's causing the edges if the clutch disk to drag on the pressure plate and flywheel. I've changed the clutch to an act2100,i had the flywheel stepped, I got oem master and slave cylinders, I vacuum bleed it several times with and without a Russel quick speed bleeder

In the picture on the lower right hand side it looks like the synchro has a smashed tooth.... am I seeing this correct its on the dark side of the gold ring..I. looks like a messed up tooth.

I guess it was just the picture throwing me off. Try what the Wiseman said make your own tool to hold the shaft still. When you get it tight make sure you tap the nut lip into the two shaft valleys. I give then a good tap with a hammer and center punch. I have used the clutch bolted to the flywheel to hold it in place I wedged the flywheel to the bell housing with a couple sockets. I don't recommend this but it worked out for me haha.

You MUST hold the input shaft completely solid (no play whatsoever) when you torque those 36mm nuts. To remove/install the 36mm nuts on the input & intermediate shafts place the tranny in both 1st and 5th gears at same time to hold the shafts. 5th is done by removing the spring pin holding the shift fork, then the fork, and then sliding the syncro sleeve into 5th. Don't do something stupid like jamming a penny or rag between 5th gears teeth as some people say. It won't hold them solid enough and will just cause damage.
