I am having one heck of a time getting my BISS screw dialed in to get to the elusive 30 number. Here's what I've been doing...

1. Let car warm up to 190*
2. Let ISCPosition settle
3. Turn the screw to the right to increase and left to decrease
4. Make tiny turns, let ISCPosition adjust and settle

So I FINALLY got it to stay at 30. Then I close the hood and it starts jumping all over the place (usually goes up).

Questions...

1. Is ISCPosition just supposed to be at 30 with the hood open?
2. Should it stay at 30 all the time or will it jump around
3. How long between turns should I wait for it to settle?

Any other tips? :thumb:

Being an auto does present a problem due to wether the ecu itself is auto or 5 speed, the chip makes it act like a 5 speed

For a manual transmission you set the isc position while in neutral... No.load on the motor....
Automatic on the other hand.... Having no load on the motor set isc position to 30 it should stay there....while in neutral or park

But when shifted into gear it'll cause isc position to fluctuate a lot....

From my understanding set isc position with the car warmed up and in drive....

Sometimes there simple to do and some of them are a pain in the ass I would try it at different spots and see what happens

So to answer your questions
1. Isc position should be 30 with the car in gear, while warmed up....
2. Isc will fluctuate its position due to any accessories being on, I.e. Headlights, a/c, heater, fans, etc...
3. On my car (1g) not sure on 2gs but I was able to turn the biss a 1/4 turn and I waited about 20 seconds til it settled
