can anybody tell me what the filter, extension cable, and couplers are used/needed for? thank you.

I'm sure the extension cable does just that, extends the cable.

I'm going to make an educated guess that the couplers would be to support the connections so that they will never tear or rip out and then the 3" filter is an adaptor plate to just have a filter hook onto it, instead of an air intake system.

Not sure on the last two, if someone could confirm this.

thank you, but what would be the use of the extension cable? where does the maf t mount that it would need to be extended or w/e? is it possible to use just regular hose clamps from like home depot or something?

You could probably try to think of why they give you a cable that long anyways, when the popular mounting spot is right near the intake... Maybe they think some people are mounting it far away for who knows what reason.

I'm sure regular hose clamps would work fine, as long as they keep everything connected and secure.
