Little Help Please

Okay look i know we went over this a while back but the paint guy that is painting my car said he could not paint the middle piece off the tail lights......so i was wondering if any 1 knew where i can order a cheap or a decent priced middle piece that is welded metal that is ready for paint so i can get it on before it is done? ill post pics if u dont member .....plz give me any info u know..... oo and i would like it to have pre-drilled key hole too

Tell that guy to slap himself. It can be painted. If he doesn't know that, then I don't think I'd want him to be painting my car.

For the two years that I owned my 96 GSX, I never really saw a metal center piece... because it's kind of pointless. Just tell the prick to paint your middle section, that it isn't actually a light, it's completely legal, and that if he has any other problems with it- tell him it's for show purposes only.

If he doesn't do it, take it somewhere else.

What else do want us to say. There's no metal piece, unless you fab one up yourself. Everyone just gets the lense painted.

Yea, that seems weird. I wonder what his reason is for not painting it. If he won't do it, you could take it somewhere else, but they will charge you alot because its alot of work to load up the gun with paint and spray something that small. Its alot easier and cheaper if you have something else bigger that requires painting as well. If you don't want to switch paint shops, you could always do it yourself. I did and it turned out just fine. Do a search in the Non-performance forum and there are a few write-ups there that will guide you along.

Okay but wouldnt the paint on the light flake off
i was tryin to hurry before paint b/c its already primed ready to get painted

Not if done correctly. You can paint plastic, don't worry.

Okay problem solved I talked to dude and he said of course he can do that he said it would be like painting a body kit he said he has never done it before but he said he dont see why it wouldnt work thanks guys
