I'm putting an act 11 lb flywheel on my car this weekend.. Anyone ran one and what's it like?

I daily with the fidanza and i have no troubles. I also have a short throw shifter so no stalling issues between shifts. I have my idle set at 750. For me i think its easier to rev match. I think its more personal taste. I have a 2600 pp and drove a friends gst with a stock clutch and flywheel n almost stalled the stupid thing bc there is no response when i reached the friction point compared to a lighten flywheel

I just purchased an Exedy stage 2 clutch and after reading this thread I'm unsure about installing the Fidanza flywheel. It came as extra parts when I purchased the car and its been sitting there collecting dust. Since I have it already I thought about just installing it when the new clutch comes in. I'm not trying to go to the strip, I just want 300hp DD... What to do?

is the difference felt with the lighter flywheel more or less noticeable with an n/t? should i go with the 8 or 12 lb one? 12 from 19 lb stock is a good difference enough no?

Keep the exedy and sell the Fidanza to a guy named Cody :thumb:

On a thread related response- I personally love how fidanza's feel, It's really a matter of opinion and driving style. Some like to ease into gears, others like to get in there as smoothly and quickly as possible.

when you say "ease into gears" assuming youre referring to using a light flywheel, is that necessary to shift or just a preferred method with these flywheels? if its necessary, doesnt that impede performance to take extra time to shift??
