lifter hole line up??

hi guys
i was changing my lifters today for 3g lifters
now about the hole on the side of the lifter,
when inserting the lifters must the hole on the side of the lifter line up with the hole in the head ?(oil port)
i hope it makes some sense i cant make any pics

They move around on the bores, so it doesn't matter. Just make sure to bleed them out with a paperclip before install.

this bleeding with a paperclip is needed when you re use the old lifters?
or does it also aply for new ones

New or used I'd soak them in oil and pump them up with oil then bleed them out entirely. You risk bending valves if you install them loaded full of oil.
