Let's talk road race engine builds

Good news is you could probably throw up a WTT ad on here and swap with someone who wants to go up in turbo size and currently has a t3 setup with a turbo in the ballpark of what you're looking for, just make sure it's archer mani ;) I want one pretty badly, but for my car that's like dressing a pig in a versachi dress and purse.. it'll look great.. but it's still a pig.

Between the FB groups and the classifieds here, I guarantee you could find somebody willing to trade a T4 drag setup for something that fits your build. Us DSM idiots are always looking for something bigger, never the other way around.

Also, at 450wheel, you could put a fresh stocker 1g rod 2g piston combo together and be killing it for cents on the dollar. If there's one thing DSMs do well, it's going fast for cheap.

Personally, I'd concentrate my time, money and effort on the hard parts that are going to make the biggest difference in performance. First, I'd prioritize everything from the exhaust manifold back. Second, I'd invest in a good valve train setup, paired with a good intake manifold. Add a good tune to that mix, and you'll see a night and day difference from your current setup.

Cause it's so effin exhilarating

they are all pigs, and pigs can alwahs use a little makeup ;)

Is the manifold TS or SS? If it's TS, the car is begging for an EFR7163. The 7163 makes its money at lower boost levels, but I bet it would make 500 ft lbs at 4000 RPM, and the 450 WHP you're after on a 2.3. Lightning-fast response, super durable, and the party would already be on before 3000 RPM.
