I have been wanting to upgrade my headlights and have been bouncing back and forth between LEDs and HIDs. I really only have experience with HIDs and with those quality is everything. For those of you running LEDs is this still the case or is it not as big of a deal?

I have had two of the same pair in the link above on my truck (one for lows and one for fogs) for over 2 years with no problems. Went with the exact same pair on my 99 gs. For the $30 bucks I paid, and the ease of use and install, there is no better option in my opinion.

Took me 20 minutes to put in after messing with the first headlights metal clip for the first 15. The plastic caps did not fit over the fan, but I have not experienced any problems.

I thought you said the headlights covers FIT over the LED fan units?
I think you are referring to Yerfdog. Earlier on the thread he posted a link to the same bulbs he used, that the covers fit over.

The link I provided, the covers will not fit back over. They have oversized fans so the leds do not get to hot.

Mine went back on, they were just very tight. Had to use a camera to see around the cooling fan.

The set I bought fit with the cap on...yes I thought it wasn't gonna fit either but it did!!!...im not sure about other brands and other sets but this one https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/332710975443 for sure fits our 2g inside the with cap that screws on the headlight assembly

I purchased these and can confirm they fit perfect and the cover cap goes back on with no issues. I did however make about a quarter size hole to relief some heat from the headlight housing. They are a serious upgrade over the halogen bulbs.

bduran1220 informed me that he has been running fanteli 6000k leds for two years and they fit inside the housing without needing to cut the back covers. Cheap price tag scares me a bit but I will order a pair and post update. Living in Fairbanks, Alaska I live in a great place to put them to the test LOL.

After everyone bought bought the 1st set of LEDs i posted they ran out, not surprised. :thumb: I toke those off and installed them in my Elantra including the ones in my Yukon and bought these Fanteli brand for my Spyder and back it up on fitment.

Just bought a 3rd set just in case they run out again:D

I forgot to mention I did have to reverse the polarity, I just toke small precision flat head screw driver to remove the wires from the harness and drilling a small hole to vent is a good idea
