Okay, so I love the look on the new Charger tail lights, so i got to thinking :hmm: what would that look like in a Eclipse. So i looked all day an all night last night and couldnt find anything. Have you guys ever seen this done? And what do yall think about it?

I highly doubt it has been done since the new charger led lights have just come out recently. I will try to PS a 2g with the charger taillights but I don't know how it will turn out.

I thought about this the other day. It would look quite nice with the outline all around it.

He also could have meant use the led bulb out of the charger..I'm not sure if thats correct..

Although shaeger tails would be sweet..

And if you just wanted to go LED bulbs in your tails, Superbrightleds makes replecement led bulbs for our cars..

Im pretty sure you mean this.

There is a lot more to this then just slapping any old LEDs in. You want to be seen!
Check the link I posted and also look up my threads about my LED tails for my Talon; I haven't updated in a bit cause I've been too busy but I will in the next little bit.

TSiTuner23 hit it dead on. That's exactly what i want but i want it to go through the center piece too. I tried taking the tail light housing apart, but i cant figure it out to save my life. has anybody done it?

You've got to bake the housing in the oven for the adhesive to melt a little, then pry the lens off gently. Although I don't know the specifics as I haven't done it before.

Not the oven! You'll melt them. The glue is very different from the headlights, much stronger.

There's little tabs that need to be dremeled away then you must SLOWLY pry the lights open using a heat gun for heat. It's very very very time consuming, go slow so you don't crack anything.

Hey bro, the pic of mine that was provided to you is a very unfinished portion. I had the intent of continuing the LEDs through the center piece as well. However, after pulling the center piece apart, I realized I had a lot of work to do to strip down the inner surface to make it flat. Still not finished, haven't worked on it since I moved to my new apartment, haven't had the time either. But whatever you need to know, I'm more than willing to help ;) :thumb:

And yes I have taken many head lights and tail lights apart, and can guide you through it.

I've always used my oven to pull my lights apart. I agree, they can melt, but as long as you're attentive, you should be fine without melting them. I only say this because I have melted one light, luckly not to bad and wasn't noticable when installed. I now have specific time at specific temp to avoid melting them, but it can vary depending on the oven. I've been too lazy to actually buy a heat gun. That is the method that should be used, but the oven way isn't all bad.
