Someone finally decided to make some LED tail lights for 95-99 eclipses, but they don't look as good as I expected them to look, its probably because of the chrome. But anyways, here is a picture I found on ebay.

yeah not a really big fan of those. even though i dont think i would like any after market tails on my car. but yeah i would have to see those in black and then maybe. definatley doesnt even come close to az daves lights :)

If those are supposed to copy the new 06-07 eclipses, they are SOOOO off, personally I think they look ricer like, I won't buy any taillights which have chrome/cf in them.

A :notgood: for me.

Do some red overlay tints on em or something, might make them look more appealing to dsm loyalist like myself that only care about stock look. But even then I wouldnt get it.

But thanks for the info.

I have stock 99 tails sitting in the closet that are going on my car when I do the conversion. If the led ones were better looking or in black, I might have thought of buying them, but they look like crap imo.

those are extra cheap looking and horrible. I cant wait to see them on someones car

You can spray those nightshades on em. It's really hard to imagine how they would look until its actually done though.

Ill buy them, but ill also open my stock tail lights and swap lenses. It will appear as stock until you brake.

I would really like to see those when you are done...pics would be great.

also not to jack up this thread but has anyone run a set of LED bulbs like this...

I think they might work pretty good with the stock tails... because (ALMOST) everyone who isn't blind thinks altezza style lights are corny!ROFL

Yeah that would work well. You might even paint the inside housing red or black and they wouldn't be hideous like they look to be :thumb: :D

that would be awesome, post pics of the lights as they came, then after you modded them
a lil before and after action

I did LED tails for my Probe about 3 years ago. Never again. I had to place every single LED, imagine every inch needed an LED on a circuit board, it was hell, took me about 12 hours per side. Looked kick A$$ tho. professional like the Cadillac tails on that one car (looks like hundreds of dots). Turned out really well, I am sure there are some pics still circulating on probetalk.com, but I don't have any due to a nasty virus about a year ago.

I'm with basically everyone else, those look like crap. I hate pretty much every aftermarket tail light I've seen. The only ones I would be interested in is if they made one that was completely red like the stock setup but the lense was a translucent red like you see on the tail lights of newer cars & leds would just complete the look IMO. All the aftermarket tail lights out there are too rice for me :notgood:

Those eBay LED tails look cheap and nasty. No me gusta.

95-99 LED taillight conversion <-- about half way down the first page azdave has pics of his LED tails. They look hella nice too.

i think the same that you, they are very horrible!!, i will wait with turn leds in amber colour, in Europe we cannot fit these, they are not legal for street, tampoco me gustan

I just got bulbs off of ebay. Theyre a little brighter than the stock filament bulbs. I was worried that they wouldnt light the entire taillight and there would be hotspots. They work perfect. I can try to get some pics to compare

Please post some pics of those lit at night. I was going to get some led bulbs but the ones I saw just had leds on the face, not all around like those. I was worried they might only be seen from directly behind and not from an angle. Those bulbs you've posted look better.

I try to get that as soon as i can. If I can find the stock bulbs Ill put them back in on one side so you can see the difference. They arent at all like the ones you see at autozone. They light the housing perfect ( a little better than stock bulbs) and there are no hotspots like filament bulbs produce. Ive had these in since the beginning of December and havnt had a problem yet.

Ok, thanks. Also, where did you purchase them? Yeah, the ones I saw were at autozone.
