Leaking antifreeze from cap help

So I'm painting the gst tonight and while I moved it out the garage I saw smoke under the hood, opened it to fid it' coming from the cap but the car was running for like r0 minutes and the gauge was normal for temp, once the fan would kick on the leak would stop could this just be the cap?

Take the cap off and see if the rubber seal that's inside is in good condition. Make sure its not dry rot or cracked. If it is just replace the cap and see if it does it again.
