what, did you save 2 pounds with the fenders?

If that. I had cf fenders on my car for 3 years and finally decided to sell them because I thought the car looks cleaner without unless it's on a black car. Blus it seems if you get into an accident the cf will shatter.

*CF doors seem very sketchy for a daily driven car unless you have a full cage.

So if you think cf doors are worth your life then go for it. LoL But the car looks good buddy. If you want a picture of a red 2G with cf hood, cf hatch and cf roof I can send you some.

This guy got hit by an 18 wheeler...regular doors...but as you can see..they didnt exactly help much either.

I have a 2g with carbon: doors, hood, hatch and a custom cf sunroof plug.
I never installed my cf fenders since I didn’t think they would save me that much weight I have had them for two years now and haven’t bothered installing them

That is one clean CF Eclipse, I just got my Vis Invader hood and cf trunk put in yesterday. so far I like it but I'm getting a custom 2ga thum nail cf wing done for it. I am also planing on the Eclipse bumpers I just have to paint them to put on.

Dont forget about the cf muffler tip guard, headliner w/ or w/out sunroof, not sure if your car has one, if you dont want full doors get inserts!!, door sills, and front lip, and a-pilar gauge pod if you have one already.

I had cf fenders from 2005-2008 and there was not much of a difference.

Thought I would post some. I dont like the lights anymore...im going to put my stockers back on. I got a new front bumper in storage at the moment (somebody hit me when I was in tech school). Also, I dont have pics yet, but I have carbon fiber door handles.

What are the weight savings for the fenders?

These are made with 12 ONZ carbon fiber. It is the strongest/lightest combination there is. Each side weights less than 4 Lbs.

Although the center piece appears to be full carbon fiber, the brochure says the wheels are 3 piece forged T6 aluminum. So while the look and weight savings is definitely there, under that carbon fiber 5 spoke is most likely aluminum. (Carbon Fiber Wheels – Not the Ultimate Performance Wheel Material) which examines the science of why you will most likely never see full 100% carbon fiber wheels, these are purely for show and their structural integrity still needs to rely on the 3 piece aluminum frame.

CF hatch w/o glass weighs about 15 lbs.
CF fenders weigh 14 lbs.
