Lambo vertical Doors [Merged 8-7]

What do you think about those doors in general? Are they worth it?

IMO I think they are stupid as you don't own a Lambo so why try to make it look that way. On top of that I think they are horribly trendy and people just do it because it is "cool".

Are there any drawbacks about them?

If not installed correct your doors will be ####ed up and possibly not close. I have also heard that some have shitty "shocks" and tend to droop over time leaving you with expensive normal doors.

First off every kit you buy now for the DSM market are completely bolt on and reversible.

The kits now come with 6 month warrenties on all of their shocks and you can get new sets for 30$ a set.

I love my doors and they get me soooo much attention. I got them on ebay for 415$ shipped and installed them in less than 8 hours. Me and my dad can put on a set in less than 4 hours now that we know how to install them. The adjustments are easy to be made as there is only up and down that you have to adjust. Honestly the adjustments only took about 15 minutes for each door. I have lots of pictures of my doors and will have install pictures soon so I can show the small modifications that can be done to make the doors sturdier and open even more outwards than normal if you want.

Just wondering why they keep calling it lambo doors, especially if you have to still open the door outwards then upwards. Also I remember seeing the gull-wing 1Gs.

I got some on ebay about three weeks ago for $399 shipped and they have a one year waranty, i like them i think it depends on what you like its your car do whatever you want to do to it

Ok well i been thinking about getting lambo doors. I have seen some other threads on here but nothing answered my question i am looking for. I want to know if the kit you got was really bolt on or did the fender have to be cut, shaved or rolled. Also has anyone got the one on ebay? How are they?

We install lambo doors pretty much every other day on any type of vehicle and I can safely tell you that no matter what they say, Ebay kits are NOT direct bolt-on. Most of them are half-on half-weld.

We only install either Vertical Doors or Glide. Both are direct bolt-on application with only a few requiring welding. (Not DSMs )

so basically you pay for what you get then. Also I have a body kit on my car which has the side skirts molded to the fenders. Is it still possible to install lambo doors with my car like that?

Yes it is but whoever is doing it better be careful so not to crack the seam between the fenders and skirts...when we mold a kit, we install the doors first, then mold it.

yeah thats what i figured but back then when i got the kit on i wasnt thinking about lambo doors. I guess i will have to go back to the shop who did my kit so they know how everything went on.

Acually not all ebay kits are half weld half bolt on. I bought some from ebay and no mods were required exept the rolled fenders, they bolted right up no problems

I never said they were all like that. Ebay kits, compared to Glide or Vertical Doors Systems require some kind of mod to either fenders or door to fit properly as you experienced

My buddy installed a Decah kit on his accord and he had to cut the wiring harness to both doors and extend the wiring about 1 foot to get it to reach far enough when the door was vertical. Did he do something wrong or is this something that has to be done to all vertical door kits??

yeah you have to do that usually kits come with the wire extenders for you.

Both Glide and Vertical Doors kits provide wire extenders. Your buddy did it right

I Might be buying a used kit from someone who had it on their eclipse and I know this is gonna sound borderline dumb but how do you get in and out with them bot going the full 9o degrees? God I feel like a n00b asking this
