Lambo vertical Doors [Merged 8-7]

Well we started tonight we are making our own hinges my friend owns a machine shop and they make hot rods and ship them to the us!! But we are having trouble trying to get the hinges right?? Can some one on here help us out?? Or at least point us in the right direction!! Tahnsk!! We just cant figure out how to make them we looked at alot of different pics some help please!! Tahnsk!!

Are you making them so they swing out slightly and then up. If not that's what you gotta to do get them to fit right. Kinda like at angle maybe, I dunno. That is just how it seems it should be to me my looking at the way 1g doors fit together with the body on the top.

They are not kits. From_my_understanding Mitsubishi made those and sold them only in Japan for about 40K, and it was a VERY limited run.

Yeah, forget a gullwing 1G, he's right, they made about 15 of them and sold brand new for around $50,000, so even if you did find one, doos luck being able to afford it

I know theres alot, ALOT, of old threads about lambo door kits, making your own kits, people that wanna see the hinges and some people looking into DIY lambo doors. So i was looking around and i found this and i figured that some people would like to actually see the way it works and what a conversion hinge looks like and stuff. I would love to figure out a cheap ass way to make one of these things or find someone that would make me one at a really great, cheap , price.

doesnt look like much. i helped install a set on my friends rsx. it was fairly easy and the hinges werent anything complicated. if i knew what to buy id get em. but i wont pay 1600 dollars for a set.

Hey guys im a bit curious about the lambo door conversion kits around. I just like the way they look truth be told. Anyways i was wondering if anybody has attempted this or knows someone who has. How difficult of a project is this and how much time should i expect if i do it myself?
Also, any good sites to purchase the kits that you know of, the ones ive seen were $1300 w/shipping and that seems a bit pricy for what looks like a handful of brackets and bolts.....

Ok i found some kits on Ebay for $699 and it says 2-4 hour install.........is this realistic?

I was talking to a guy at the car show I went to today about his lambo doors. He said they are a PITA for daily driving. Hard to get in and out of... but he also brought up this point. The door drops down and it won't lie up right away with the lock, so you gotta be careful when shutting it. You just can't slam it shut, or else it will hit and not shut.
I heard it's 2-4 hours to install. But if your like me set aside a weekend to do it. I'm really slow, and don't get things the first time around.
