Koni Yellows, now higher?

Just installed my Koni Yellows, 8041 1208 Sports, on the rear and set it back down. The rear of the car was at LEAST 3" higher than it was with stock shocks and coilovers. I had Maxspeed coilovers with stock shocks as my previous setup. I have them set on the lower of the two adjuster settings on the Konis. So to try to get it lower, I removed the threaded coilover body altogether and am using just the coilover spring set on the Koni perch. The car is still just barely as low as it was before (probably around 1.8" lowered). WTF is wrong with this picture? I was planning on bringing the car down maybe another .5 inch but now I can barely get it back where it was...anyone have any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

wait so you used the same coilovers you were using on your stock shocks? Don't the konis and the stockers have different types of spring perches?

Yep I figured out the problem a little while ago. I'll be having the perch rings that I used on the stock shocks machined out to fit over the Koni shocks. Apparently the shock body on a Koni is just BARELY bigger around. That should fix the problem. Using the perches that came with the Koni kit for springs made the whole assembly approximatly 3" taller. Taking a break to step back and look at the big picture rather than just getting pissed often works Wish I'd have come in to look at your post earlier, would've saved some time!
