Just replace wheel bearing and seals one side. When I removed the hub, it was almost touching the knuckle. After I reassembled, there’s a clear gap and I can’t drive it in further. Just want to make sure this is in deep enough.

If this isn’t in deep enough, will torquing the axle nut drive this in further?

Thanks
Tony

Was it an oem bearing? Sometimes they might be a fraction out if its a non branded type but thats rare and highly unlikely since bearings all meet specific specs and are mostly always correct unless its super china crap.

Have you confirmed your not stopping on some grit thats not letting it seat all the way?

It’s National bearing and I cleaned it well and used scotch bright pad. It started squeezing the seal on the press so I stopped.

It should be the same both sides, when i took mine apart on the 2G recently i made sure they seated the same, 1mm out and i would not accept it as right. Certainly check it all over again as i would not accept it if the otherside has one alot closer to the knuckle

I pressed it from the other side and it’s good now. Both sides are done. Thanks again Bobby!!
