I have a knocking sound that seems to possibly be coming from my head when i rev a little over 2k. Im wondering if a stuck or collapsed lifter might be the problem. If i drive it for a little bit and get the oil pressure up it becomes much less apparent. Just curious if it could be clogged and not getting oil so the follower is bouncing against my cam shaft. The odd part is it isnt constant. If i bring it up to about 2500rpm it will make the sound then go away. My valves on #3 cylinder intake sound loud. I have never had any valvetrain noise before.

Take the valve cover off, remove the lifters and clean them in sea foam. Flush it with oil after and install void of any oil. It will defiantly fix any lifter tick. Takes 3hrs tops and that's with soaking time. also leak test the block for exhaust or intake valves leaking.

Thanks i know how to clean them. Im just trying to see if anyone has had this issue because it almost sounds like rod knock. I built the bottom of the motor about 10k ago with all mitsu parts and king race bearings so im kind of doubting its a rod.
