knock sensor picking up rod knock?

since i started getting what i believe is rod knock i logged a little of it. using a stethescope i narrowed it down to cylinder one. afrs are all good. just under a light load of maybe 5lbs the knockret on link shoots to 9 degrees! it only happens when at operating temp when oil is at its thinnest. rod knock can be detected by the knock sensor correct? im just trying to assur emyself im not pulling this engine for nothing. i see no lean condition occuring before the 9 degrees of knockret is displayed. if anything its a bit rich at 11:1. im not driving it anymore and as in my other post i explained, the machinist is redoing lower end for free. im just ansy . cant wait to get back from cleveland and get this motor out

How's oil pressure look?

10-30 weight. when its operating temp the glowshit guage(junk) reads really low. like 2psi. the stock guage read very low too. it only has 330 miles on it. compression is dead on perfect 180 exactly all 4 cylinders. ive heard detonation and that sounds like rocks in a can. this is a knocking but not like a crank knock. and def not in the valve train. ive hear that. its a clacking sound.
edit: while cruising its around 45psi or so. startup, after the idle slows, its about 40psi. think the pump is good

Sounds just like a spun bearing. With that low of oil pressure I'm going to say bottoms garbage now. My fresh rebuild made it 10 miles before that happened to me. Just got it apart tonight to find the machine shop removed my BSE bearing and didn't tell me. Starved my mains/rods. When mine started knocking my oil pressure was at 5 psi.

well its very light so im hoping it didnt smoke those brand new eagle rods. if it did, thats on him. hes gott areplace everything that was busted.

Mine started knocking at 5 miles, I drove it the 5 miles home with it knocking and I was lightly boosting still, then did a few pissed off 4500rpm antilags and my acl trimetals took the full beating saving my rods and main caps
