Well my dad just installed my new power steering rack and after he got done when i took the car for a drive I got a Knock sensor code frfom the ecu. I know that it is plugged in to the right wire b/c well there is only 2 and the other wire is for a EGR Temp. which i dont have. The knock sensor prob got touched a few times and stuff so would that make it stop working? Or does anyone have any ideas?

THanks,
Cody

I'm also getting a knock sensor code, I swapped sensors and checked all wiring. Any help would be appreciated by both of us I'm sure.

Bringing back an old thread.
well i have the same problem as stated above. I have swapped out the knock sensor with 3 other ones that i have and still get the same code (31) clear it with the logger and it comes back again. Swapped out the ecu with outher ecus still the same thing. Moved wires around and still same. What could this be it has a constant 9 count of knock on my logger and wont go past it. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance...

ok it seams this is becoming a common problem i too have the same problem with the code 31, changed the sensor just now and have cleared ecu twice but the code keeps coming back. the check engine light will come on every now and then but it wont go away. it really seams like this should be looked into allot closer because its starting to look like a common problem
