I have Phantom knock at low RPM.
I have Remplaced lifter, 02 sensor and knock sensor (1G). (Torqued to spec.)
I check the CAS and it is on 5*
Polyurethane Motor mounts
Exhaust is not banging nowhere, no loud noise just vibration.
It was tune with wideband the best I could when the knock didn't show up.

Anyway, My question is:
I have been noticing that My datalogger says I have knock. but the light that I installed to read knock ( LED knock sensor 1G, which I know it works fine!) doesn't light up at the same time as the datalogger does. WHY IS THAT?

I am comfuse because the count knock at low rpm (2500 and no boost) the knock goes off in the datalogger (after 6 count knock) all the way to 25 to 43 knock. It is not consistent though.
I am not really sure it is messing with the Timming but I will make a log and show it. If it does I bet it is just preventing it from moving. (like get stock in one position)

Also, it is more often in first gear (launching at any giving RPM) it doesn't happen at WOT. also, the extrange thing is: By the time I am launching (no matter what RPM) and going to WOT, the car seem to be stuck in 1st gear no making power, I feel that the Intercooler piping are going to explode. The car feel like dragging (More likely the knock is going off in that particular time) and quicly need to change to 2nd gear. then it drives fine againg.

Oh well it is a DSM, at least I can drive the car but not getting on it. All this money on the car and the fastest I when is 14.6 @ 97mph or so... really bad 60' because of knock. (damn KNOCK! )

Hope you guys can help me.

There have been many reports of things that have fixed PK (new lifters, morot mounts, trans mounts, venting PCV, SeaFoam..etc) and then again others whom spent years trying everything without success.

If all else fails and you are sure this is not real knock, my suggestion is to get an e-prom chip to eliminate the PK during low load conditions :thumb: :dsm:

That is what I have been thinking! ;) (with fuel compessation) THANKS!
I have the log and it is at low rpm knock.

Anyway, as you said: I better keep looking until I find the cure for my car. :(

I had the same problem, so I put the knock sensor in a diff hole in the back of the block and it drastically reduced the PK. Pretty much eliminated it for the most part. I am only running stock boost on 93 octane though. I don't know If I would reccomend doing this if running more than stock boost. Just my $.02 :talon:
