Link V2. I've never had problems with knock before at 24 PSI on 92 octane.
I pulled so much as 4.2* of knock on a few pulls right around 5k rpm, which is where I spool.
Things that have changed, it's cold outside, probably about 40*.
On top of that, as you'll see my coolant temps never rise much, I don't have a thermostat in the car right now because it had been over heating, I've since gotten to the bottom of it, and need to reinstall thermostat.
It's not a DD by any means, but need to get to the bottom of it.
The log is about 10 minutes long, multiple low rpm pulls and pulls in boost. Do you think the cold weather is causing the knock?
On one hand, it would make sense for the cold weather to cause knock, because more oxygen will be going into the engine, but on the other hand, it's obviously colder..
I guess my confusion lies in the fact that it should be perfectly directly proportional between air density and temperature at a given elevation.
