Ah well, hopefully it's normal. Haven't got to checking over the electrical system yet, waiting for the ice to subside. But, the part # on plymouthlaser.com for the "manual valve" was incorrect. So if anyone needs it, it is MD738048, ran me 15$, and they call it a Neutral/Drive Control Valve.
