Keyless Start on a 5spd?

i seen a post a while back about keyless start on a 5spd, it had this setup that was wired up to so it would know when you were in N.

i need the same thing done, i'm hooking up a N light on my 5spd, don't ask, its a long story.

I would like to know this same thing....if it can be done so the car MUST be in neutral for it to work, I'd like to purchase one and get it. I had it on my old car and i miss it so much

from waht i understand there are few people licensed to to that to m/t. mainly because of safety reasons, and that if something were to happen it could be a liability problem. but there are people that can install them. i remember asking about it after i got my car.

would be funny to have the car parked in gear with e-brake on an start the car with someone in it and watch it jerk quickly and die. man i bet the passenger would sh!t themselves...hehe

Actually some people who install them do is so the clutch is simulated. Heard a story of how guy left it in gear, went to the bar, got a bit too hammered, hit the button and watched his car dominate a tree. Good thing he was wasted.

Mine has it on it, I dont want to try and start it in N to find out if it will or not, I also dont want it on the car. If you want it, it's yours if you come and rip the shit out. Aftermarket car alarm too.

I want the alarm and the keyless start crap off the car and returned to stock. I hate that crap.

Why wouldn't you start it in Neutral? Do you have an automatic??
I would definately like one on my car also. I always turbo time my car so it's left in neutral.

I have a 5-speed with remote start. I have a Clifford Concept 200 alarm with the optional Clifford Intellistart set up. This remote start makes it so that when you pull into a parking space, you have to pull up your hand bake, and put the car in neutral. After you do this, you press a series of three buttons on the remote. The lights will blink and then you can pull the key out while the engine is still running. When you press the "lock" button the car will turn off. This was you can be 100% sure that when you start up your car, it is neutral because you won't be able to remote start it unless you had pressed the series of three buttons. I HIGHLY reccomend using this system instead of ghetto-rigging your alarm. You can bypass the need to press the clutch to start the car but it will eventually lead to an accident.
