k&n air filter removal

Ight so I did my boost look today and found a few(at least the big ones) got them patched up...so now I wanna change my air filter...the previous owner put a k&n air filter on it...I just can't figure out how to get the filter out. I've only had the car for two weeks so I'm still figuring this basic stuff out but anyone know how to remove it?? Once I unclip the clips I don't know what exactly to move to get it out and I don't wanna do something stupid and screw something up. Thanks ahead of time guys.

K&N/MAS Filter Modification

Search a little and you can find anything. even if you have to google it

You just pull the assembly aside and get the filter out

Easiest way is to pull the intake hose off from the filter container, the unclip and pull that part off.
