so i just picked up my first ever dsm. 1997 gsx with 28k original miles. As far as i know it has a hahn racing 16g turbo, a greddy front mount, 3 in downpipe, 2.5 inch cat back, greddy type s bov, and injen intake. any suggestions for making it faster? id like to tune it but know nothing about tuning.

ECMLink or DSMLink V3. I would recommend it even on a stock car. Once you gain control of the ECU, then you can start making positive steps forward in making power. It is a bit of an open ended question though, there are so many things you could do. My personal favs are the EVOIII 16g, HKS 264 cams, EVOIII/RVR intake manifold, 3" catback exhaust, FP exhaust manifold.

All I'm goint to say is, do it right the first time. You got your hands on something very rare because of the mileage and if I were you I would only upgrade with the best and in proper order for proper running. Just my opinion.

Any pictures?

Deffinately tuning software first, I'd agree. You'd probably be amazed at the difference if you had a tune done for your "already" supporting mods.

You might actually be lucky and have a flashable ECU. Some of the 97's came with them. Take off the passenger side kick panel and take a look at your ecu. If it's got a black, plastic case on it then most likely its flashable. Then you can go with ECUflash and Evoscan which is only $225, instead of V3 which is like double that.

i paid $8500 for the car. i will post pics once my camera finishes charging.

Pics for proof :D
