Just how good is the T3 Super 60?

hoping it's a newbie enough question- though it's hard getting a straight answer.

Looking at taboospeedshops comp maps
T3 Super 60
vs
14b

it looks like a healthy upgrade- then compare to BIG16G...

looking at it, the Super60 seems to be a step up from the BIG16 in terms of comp side- but most of the info I've read limits the Super60 to 300-350WHP which is a bit low compared to a BIG16.
Do most guys on DSM's that run the Super60 run it with only the .48 A/R? Do they leave in the stock Turbine wheel?

Just curious cause I've got the option to go T3 for insanely cheap, and I've got a 50 trim T3 sitting around with a .48 A/R so I can put it in, then pickup a Super 60 and be at the power level I MIGHT be happy with- if the comp maps are correct.

HELP!?!

EDIT- are comp maps showing up for you guys? Guess not- I was told they did- I'll attach them then!

corrected by attaching- 1st is 14B, 2nd is Big16G 3rd is Super 60

obviously it appears that the Super 60 isn't capable of as high of pressure, but the flow is more than respectable.

Well, a lot of VW guys I know run it. I would stay away from it as you will quickly outgrow its max realistic power potential. If you are looking for that power range only, then just go with what is proven, EVOIII16G and call it good.

well... my issues- I can pick up a Super 60 for about $100
I may out grow it- then if I'm running T3 hot side anyway- I can up for 50 trim or whatever floats my boat
makes exhaust easier as swing valve T3's have the easiest O2 housings ever!
lastly, it's just a bit different....

do the VW guys say it maxes out around 350?

And why do the flow charts show it producing such better flow?

Well, the last car I saw put down around 265 to the ground on a 1.8L DOHC. I think he was running around 15 psi or so?? IF you can get it for $100 then, ya just put it on and see how it does. You can always upgrade later like you said, to a 50-trim. :thumb:
