how good is the garrett t04b turbo?

was wondering if anyone has one or how good they are? also, would this kit contain everything id need to run it safely on a complete stock 1g dsm? thanks for any input.

To run that, you'd need a different exhaust manifold and different o2 sensor housing. You would see much more gains for much less money if you did some of the mods discussed here first:

As many people will tell you, your first upgrade on your DSM should not be a turbo. Follow the guide that this site provides for you and it will create an outline for you to start at.

ahhh i got ya.....one more quick question...my engine has about 140k on it...before i start putting mods on, should i pick up a new engine? or one with less miles at least? it still runs fine but im in this for the long haul

As long as your engine has good compression and has been taken care of, you won't need to replace it.

I'd start working on an engine on the side. Work on rebuilding another engine that way when your does or goes out on you, you'll have a fresh rebuild or possible a nice forged 4g63 to put in there.

Uhh maybe you guys didnt notice that its t04b housing which will bolt on to mitsu stock mani's and o2 housing. If he were getting t3/t4 housing, he would need a new mani/o2 housing.
