So I just got my BEP Hx40 T3 Housing and it is WRONG AGAIN. The Inducer diameter on the housing is 76.9mm that one will work, but the exducer diameter on this housing is only 65.25mm and My H1E exducer is 67.4mm. I have seen Hx40's with the same exducer size so I assumed it would work but it doesn't. This is getting really frustrating. I need a housing that will fit. Anyone one here running this housing on an Hx40, what are the diameters of your turbine wheel. Does anyone know the clearance that is needed between turbine wheels and the housing walls? I might attemp to machine this diameter bigger at my work but I need to know how much bigger. Thanks

I think I do have an oddball. That really sucks!!! Do you know if Holset parts are balanced individually. I am going to try to machine the wheel myself down to a 64mm. But if that doesn't work do you think I could just tear mine apart and replace the shaft and turbine together with this?

Turbine Wheel Holset H1E 76.00mm Ind 64.00mm Exd by BAE - eBay (item 180435288770 end time Jan-14-11 12:10:35 PST)

Also do you know the clearance there should be between wheel diameters and the walls of the housing? If I machine mine or even buy the one above at 64mm exducer diameter, that only leaves 1.25mm or .0492" space (or .0246" all the around the turbine) is that enough for typical play in these bearings? If I'm not mistaken Holset has a tolerance of .015" to .020" radial play, with that in mind it makes me nervous being that close to the wall. What should I do?

garrett told me that my 57 trim clearance between the wheel and wall is .040 of 1 inch.
