I have a 95 tsi automatic with 120000 miles on it. I just got it back today after having the transmission rebuilt and having the valve cover replaced (the old one was cracked and it leaked oil). Once i got the car home i also replaced the bov with another stock one (mine was busted where the vacuum line attaches).
I decided to take the car for a spin around the block so i could see how the rebuilt tranny felt and as i was coming up to my house i heard a pop sort of sound and the car reved really low, it wouldnt accelerate over 20 mph and if i gave it gas it would feel like it wanted to stall out. Does anyone have any idea what could have caused this? Im at a total loss and i really hope i am not without my car for another 2 months (arghhghg the shop took waaaay to long the first time)

And plug your speedo sensor back in.

the speedometer actually bounces up and down randomly so i dont know if this an unplugged sensor or not, where is the snesor located?

I just made a reply on a different post about my speedometer wigging out. If its doing that then it almost has to be your speed sensor. Its located right in between the tranny mount which under your intake manifold
