Alright I bought a 95 Eagle Talon DOHC and was told by the owner that it wouldn't start, but the compression tested fine so I purchased and and decided to make it a project. Once I got it home and got a compression tester, I tested it and discovered that none of the cylinders will read over 80PSI and the radiator was nearly empty. The first conclusion I came to ofcourse was that he let it overheat and there is a coolant leak somewhere, but what should I do?

Since he told me it had good compression should I just return it and find a better one? Ask for a partial refund and try to fix it, or ? what would you do?

shit 80 psi isnt that bad...my car has 60-80 and she still runs 13's....i know its well below the service limit but it runs so im not to worried..throw some coolant in there and start that bi*** up

all 4 are confirmed 60-80? with more then one gauge etc... thats pretty insane...
theres a local guy here who had 150-150-150-60 and ran the same times as you, and I found that to be impressive.
how much oil do you burn?

yeah, i tried 2 different gauges...i dont burn any oil except at idle..so i know its in the head...its kind of a temp motor so im not gonna spend any money on it...i dont get full boost until 5000 though, so that kinda sucks

Laws for buying cars can work VERY strongly in your favor if you are still under 18. If you are under 18 and YOU (not your parents) buy a car from someone, then you can return the car to them for your money back at any time, for any reason (i'm not sure for how long though, and the laws may be different for where you live as opposed to here). I don't know whether you are 18 yet or not, but I thought that might be some useful information.
