going to pick it up tomorrow to look at it do u guys have any idea what type of work it will need i was hoping not a whole engine the head if anything i talk to the guy and asked him if he knows if the smoke is coming from the turbo or the engine and he says he does not kno i believe this to be a company as he has sold many cars on ebay and i am dealing with more than one person

From what it sounds like it just needs a new turbo. If that's the case you basically just stole that car from him ;) .

also i want a direct bolt on turbo but something bigger than the stock and not a 14b either, since the turbo has to be replaced anyway, which is recommended for street racing and with wat boost controller

thanx alot but if the engine is smoking would it needing a new turbo cause the problem

I don't really understand what you are asking.. If the engine is smoking bad and it won't boost then it probably has a bad turbo. Just swap that puppy with a 16g and be on your way.

i was asking if a bad turbo could cause the engine to smoke but u answered my question so thanx

would a t28 be a direct bolt and how is it compared to the 16g (i can get a t28 for cheap)

NO a T28 would be a bolt in for a 2g, since they come stock with Garret Turbos. But the 1G's are setup to run mitsu turbos...so a 16G is proabably your best bet. Very similar in performace to a T28.

-No, 14b, 16g big 16g, evo3 big 16g are direct bolt on for 1g. the outlet of the t25; t28 is pointed sideway. you can compare the photos of diffenent turbos from the sponsor up above of this page.

oh ok thanx so do u think the 390cc stock injectors are fine for now at maybe about 12-14 psi, do plan to upgrade but dont have much money now so i want kno kno if the fuel injectors, fuel pump or boost controller should be next step

wow thanx alot for the help

Don't go blowing all your money on this car. Set up a "when my dsm goes bad" fund you may need it.

well it's not really a set formula but just keep in mind that any car that makes a good amount of power or is modified is subject to having parts fail.

I got me $1200 saved up incase my tranny goes out(then im geting a shep tranny :thumb: )

And to the question about wha breaks and when. the last problem i've had in teh past 3 months was one of my rotors was screwed up, but it wasn't because i have a DSM it could've happened to any car. Just makes sure your engine is getting the fuel, and don't boost real high and it will be reliable. As soon as i start boosting over 14 i know itll be less reliable.

looks like i wont be getting this my parents wonmt let me my dad said if the turbo blew then there are gonna be alot more problems like oil burning threw the cat and all kinds of other shit so i have no choice but not to get it i am gonna make him finance one for me cause he says i need something with airbags and all that new shit so please lmk if u find a awd 2g in florida i can finance on for a good price

You will need it

Hey, blessing in disguise it was an automatic. Im not saying autos are worthless a well setup racing auto tranny is a beast but I dont know too many people that actually prefer automatics over manuals at least when it comes to performance cars. At least for us small engine guys :thumb:

i was gonna have my uncle re work the tranny he, is real good with gear ratios and adjust them well, i have seen him do some things that people told him will never happen, i remember him having a volkswagen jetta work the tranny that car would never stop climbing shit was quick i think it would have left a awd eclipse off the line, i kno he did other stuff maybe chip cause he is real good with programing ecu's to but it was stock exhaust an engine, he had supras pulling him over cause they wanna kno wats in his car that left him like that LOL. He also has a S10 where he worked on the tranny, but he has a covette engine in it so thats a different story.
