35psi on a fp3065 with 660cc injectors. Your IDC's should have been at like 150% LOL... I would really be curious to know what they really were. If you get a chance let me know. IM just trying to figure out how much room I have to work with on this turbo. Thanks

he hasn't updated his mod list since like 2004 minus a few choice things. I think hes got to be running 1000+ injectors by now.

edit: holy shit hes still running 660's..... DAMN

and evoIIIpwr, you got a fp3065, maybe you should make a new username for yourself, LOL

5000 came from 1300 for the 3065, 1300 for the red, 1100 for the green, about 1000 for the fp49, and about 550 for the b16g, thats like 5250, but of corse thats not including how much you sold them each for like you said.

I should also make my bed in the morning and take out the trash.... Im just lazy. Still got the evo motor though so I guess it suits my name at least to that extent. :thumb:

BTW hows that dejon exhaust treating you? been a while

haven't got a ticket,.... yet....

then again, since I bought the car in feb 05, I've put less than 4k miles on it, so its really just been sitting, doing nothing. Also, whenever I see a cop I tend to push the clutch in and roll in nuetral. The other day at a dsm meet there was a cop standing at a stop sign, and she didn't hail down any of us, there were 11 of us too.

I can't wait til I get my 1000's and can start drag racing again. Kevin, care to give us any of the specs on the motor or head? whats your redline/cams, displacement/compression ratio? You should make some more movies, you always had a great way of fusing good music with your videos. It just always seemed to work. Now every time I listen to seether, I just want to go out for a drive.

Congrats Kevin. Its good to see the car running stong.

As for the people freaking out about 660cc's there are several aroun dhere in the 10's on 660's. The best being a consistent 10.6@132 1g AWD that has yet to pop a motor, 660's and all. I think people junp on the big injecotr band wagon too soon and forget the concept of useing somthing to its full potential.

That being said, I have 1000's in my whip :)

Oh believe me I know you can run 10's with 660 injectors. My question was how he ran 35pounds of boost on a 65lb turbo with only 660cc injectors. Not saying it cant be done I was just curious on the numbers.

It is in good hands.;) It will be a consistent low 10 second, high 9 second car soon.:rocks:

I guess your the one that picked it up. Good luck with the car. I still think he should have never sold it, but oh well. He enjoys his evo. I was supprised how well he kept up the first time I raced him. I was going 134mph in the 1/4 at the time, and though I would have walked him hard. I only beat him by 2 cars from 50-140 roll.

Kevin, do you still have 660's in the car? I dont think that has been clearly stated yet.

He said he has 880s a few posts ago :beatentodeath: ;) :p

A bit late, but congrats on the runs Kev!

I know Kev personally guys. This car has easy 10.50's or better in it :) so look for some even better passes by the end of the summer!

I just had to replace my injectors, since I was maxing out the stock 450's like none other. I went to fic and looked at their choices. 650's for 270.... 1000's for 310. So its 40 dollars more for almost twice the injector. I think it would be retarded to not go with the 1000's. Its going to be so nice seeing idc's at like 45% while Im at wot and 21 lbs. No more worrying about knocking like none other. (I had a base fuel pressure of 46 psi and at 96% idcs I was running a afr of 11.5+:1, so I would see knock pretty easily. If I richened it up so that it wouldn't knock, I wouldn't have gotten any more fuel out of those injectors probably. Either way, Im going back to the stock base fuel pressure and putting in the 1000's and richening it up. Problem solved.)

Im not one to spend money on the same thing twice (which is why I brought up the whole 5 turbos thing)

Just curious, tskl, I don't see any standalone or dsmlink in your profile. What are you going to use for deadtime on those injectors?

As for Kev, nice runs. I couldn't stay late that day to see his 10 second run, but I did spend plenty of time looking at his ass end in my 1/4 runs :p . As for the mph; there are apparently a couple of people who had a problem with the mph in that lane. There may have been a gun problem in/for that lane. They are kind of researching that line of thinking.

Yeah, you will save money but the learning curve is pretty steep jumping from a 200whp car to a 500-600whp car. Sometimes going in steps like he did rips benefits as you learn little tricks as you go along. Most of "us" guys sell our old setups to finance the new toys. There's no money tree.

Kevin :rocks: . Mid low 10's next.

eprom, got a chip burned by a local friend to compinsate for those injectors.

as for the learning curve, ehh, I'll just have to learn to deal with it I guess. I don't drive my car often, so if something isn't working right I just let it sit til its fixed. If I don't have the money for a part I need, it sits til I do and the part is in. I think thats why my dsm has never broke on me before, all it does is sit, so it wants to go driving just as much as I do when it is running. LOL I've had a lot of that whole, unexperienced thing happen to me though, so I can understand how some things just can't be explained, its just harder in life than on paper. If all else fails, I can have paul or sean help me tune the car and get it running. The beauty of having a car that never breaks down is that I can always drive it to a local shop without worries of not making it there. A lot of times I'll do stuff and be amazed it still runs, it just never wants to give up for some reason. My cars a fluke I guess....

I can't wait to hear some more updates from you kevin, and I'll still be checking your site every now and then, in hopes that you actually updated it. LOL

congrats and very good times there.......kind of shows how times have changed with dsm's....they are going faster and faster every year I see......I remember when Al Blaha ran a 10.87 with a forced performance red with a stock MAF,an afc and stock 6-bolt block back in 2000,there is a member here on dsmtuners with his old car too.

I'm not positive but I think Kevin lightened his car? If so he may be approaching the weight of my fwd. MPH is a decent way to measure power and as such he is trapping 129-130 and I trap 126-127. I'm also on 650's and see 78% duty cycle. He has 12% duty cycle to safely play with, 22% if he really likes pushing it (which you can for brief moments drag racing, don't do it for extended periods). He also has the option of raicing the base fuel pressure to make the 650's act bigger. I know I raised mine to 45psi base, you can probably raise it to 55psi base with good fuel lines (55+35=80psi in the fuel lines and fuel rail). On racegas its very doable, hell he might even have some injector left in it for 135mph passes :)

According to FIC, Denso 660s routinely test at 710-720cc/min at 43psi testing pressure (mine tested at 710cc).

Now turn the wick up on Base FP from 42 to 50psi (old school Buschur style ;) ) and you effectively have 830cc injectors :dsm:
