Jumpy idle when fan comes on?

Ok I need help here. When sitting at idle and my fan comes on my car drops down to 500 RPM's and acts like it wants to stall. Anyone have any ideas? Also, when I am running my car at I'll say 1/4 throttle, like in a traffic situation, it jumps like the fuel is cutting out. Anyone else experience these problems? The 1/4 throttle thing started after i changed plugs and wires. Please tell me if you have any clues to whats wrong.

my first question is do you have a cell?
i would sugest to check your spark plug gaps, if this started after your plugs and wires you may not be gettin a good arc, you also may have bad wires

it defently sounds like something wrong with your electrical system, but then again it could be alot of things

I had that problem on my old 1g n/t. Hot air was blowing into my air filter. I made a cover for it and it helped. I've been in over 20 dsm's and every 1g, turbo or n/t does it a bit. A higher amp alternator should help a bit.

yeah that may be it. I just chopped my airbbox and my filter is exposed to the hot air. I never thought of that. thanks I'll fabricate a box to go around it, that should help a lil.

I chopped my filter and my car was perfectly fine... you sure it isn't that the car needs a tune up or carbon build up?

My car shakes (prothane mounts) when the fan kicks on at idle but my idle never drops. I sure the hell can tell when the fan kicks on though my car shakes harder than normal. Its like the car is starving for power or something.

Well as far as I can tell I don't need a tune up seeing that I just changed plugs and wires. But I am going to deal with the low RPM with the fan kicking on. I just wanna figure out the 1/4 throttle jumps in traffic. Thanks for all the suggestions though.
