Hey guys, anyone know of a thread already posted with this problem? radiator fan wasn't working. Both would only turn on when I turned on a/c and I had to tap on the rad. fan to get it started. I replaced the fan, but it still won't turn on unless I turn the a/c on. maybe fan relay or any sensors I should check?

This may help and it is very cheap to fix. At the bottom left of the radiator is a sensor that is the sensor that turn on the fan with temperature. I would change that first and that should fix the fan that should turn on. Does only one fan turn on when you have the A/C on?

OP, possibly check the coolant temperature sensor in the thermostat housing. It's mounted on the cylinder head, near where the upper coolant hose to attached.

So on a non turbo is there only one sensor. cause if you have the temp gauge working then it is not the coolant temp sensor. Please inform me on that thanks I'm sure that the non turbo radiator is the same as the turbo radiator, the sensor are on both. So check if the gauge works and if that works then it is the sensor on the radiator.

Mine did same thing i just went to a parts store got a manual switch and wired it in so now when i stop a red lights or in stop and go traffic ill just turn it on.
