Hey guys,

I recently jumped my 1G Talon, and noticed something weird. I left the key clicked over in the ignition, and when I connected the wires to the Talon's battery, I heard a faint buzzing noise, like a dying pop-up headlight motor, before I fired it up.

It idles okay, but runs like poop. It runs pig rich, will not make any power, and peak boost is down from 32 to 26. I have no idea why... It literally feels like it lost 200hp. Under full throttle, it doesn't want to rev, and it stutters a little. It does it at 5k in 4th, and again at 7k. I let off soon after. The car will run at around 9.9 A/F under WOT, and the partial throttle and idle A/F looks different than before.

The weird part is that when I opened the car door to get something out later today, the car was making the same buzzing/brrrring noise, and the key hole illumination light was flickering with the buzzing sequence. It sounded like the noise was being transmitted through the speakers as well. What is this noise? It never did before. Is something shorting out, and messing with the ECU's ability to run the ECU?

The car has a motorcycle battery, so it frequently runs out of juice if it's not started for a few days, but it's never done this before. I am running V3, so losing the tune should not be an issue. I know either the coil, or the wires need to the replaced (stuttering in 4th/5th gear around 4k rpms), and sometimes when the car is hot, it takes multiple tries to start it, but I am stumped! Weird thing is, there is no longer that stutter at 4k in 4th/5th gear. WTF!

I'll have to try and get some logs. It's running an FP3052 with Link V3, and using pump with Labonte meth injection. The car made 503awhp@32psi on a Mustang dyno.

Here is a video of the car at WOT in 4th. I don't want to drive it again!

Here is the work that was done to the car back in November. Could this be something to do with the MFI relay? The car was running like poop before b/c the relay was blown out.

Hope you didn't crap your ECU with that jump leaving the key on RUN instead of having the key OFF.
LOL, I'm sure that's exactly what happened. Plugs have 2k miles on them, were put in when the work was being done.

I hate to say but I'm almost certain thats what happened. Last year I had to jump my srt-4 and did the same thing, I fried a lot of wiring and had to replace a lot of relays. It sucked, except mine didn't even start after I fried it....then 3 months later it's life ended tragically when I spun out during a snow storm and landed in a tree... LOL

Hope you have better fortune than me!

Unless anyone has any other ideas, I'll probably send my ECU out to ECMLink, so they can take a look at it. That's probably better than trying to troubleshoot on my own. It's a shame. I wanted to sell the car soon, and now I need to possibly dump more money into it to get it right.

Thats what happens when the owner does not jump it the correct way and fails to know what there doing! Mistakes cost money,

Have you checked all fuses and relays to eliminate the possibility of just 1 might have gone?
