i don't know about the rest of the people, but i'll be too damn tired at night to kill anyone. so no worries about me, ok?

as for meet & greet... if you wanna make it over to Stevens Point anytime, just let me know. you can crash at my place for the night and we'll make it a point to call up some of the people and go out or something. in fact, 3 weekends from this, i hear there might be some racing going on. i'll keep you posted. that would be a good night to come and check things out.

3. HIN Chicago: Some of the coolest cars aren't even in McCormack Place; they're in the parking garage. Get there early and take a trip through it to see some sweet cars, some of which should be inside the show.

Good call. This is very true. ^^^

Also, one of my favorite parts of the Chi-town HIN shows is the show exit. Try to find out what exit they will be sending the cars through after the show is over. Then make your way to the outside of that door, somewhere along the path, with your video camera on. It looks and sounds cool as hell seeing a couple hundred show cars come pouring out of McCormack at 12:30 AM. The last time I had my car there, it was like stepping onto the red carpet when coming out of the building.

well, i'm off in a few minutes to take the first few hundred miles of the trip to guarantee correct directions and a get a good timeline. the GF and I decided today would be a good day, even thought traffic may be a bi***. however, all the backroads probably won't be much of an issue for traffic (i hope)

i'll update this later today hopefully and let you know how all the roads are that we picked out. we'll see if they are as good as the they look on paper, and how long of a first day to expect.

So Me and my girlfriend having been thinking about leaving on thursday night to meet up with you guys..Anyone wanna let us stay with them for the night..We wouldn't be leaving on thursday night till like 9 or 10 beause she works. Also are we still gonna use walke talkes? Blah i had onther question but now i forgot..

GSTAherns, yes, my basement is more than comfortable for the night. feel free to stay here. we'll work out the details/directions later. Yes, we have a few walkies here, (5 i think, will need 1 more) nothing special, but they've served me well in the past for road trips.

ok, here's the down low on my 250+ mile trip today.... the GF and i went the first 130+ miles of the trip, making sure the directions and road conditions were good. i am VERY pleased to announce that what i drove today was a BLAST to drive! Hwy 52 was amazing, about a 45mile journey, broken into 3 sections. section 1: lots of 90' turns, nothing great... Section2: AWESOME!! hills and corners, simply a joy to drive! Section 3: combination of the first two! then after hitting Hwy C outside of Wabeno, it was another fun road. Hwy C is 30 miles long (our section) and the frist 10 were amazing! we turned around after that, as it only looked to continue to be the same fun times... not to mention we had plans for this evening.

so all in all, the first part of friday is going to be an absolute blast! here's your one warning... the 30mph turn on Hwy 52... really should be taken at 30mph. becuase if you miss that turn, kiss your ass goodbye!
