I love my talon but a low 9 sec GTR is better than ANY DSM period. I can make my car faster than this DSM in a straight line I can make my car faster around a track then this car sure I can even make my car's top speed higher than this car's sure but you can only do one. While your focused on one that car is built for all of those. Not to mention it's a whole lot sexier while doing it. I'm DSM for life but if I found 90k on the ground it's not going into the talon

Lets compare the DSM to what Nissan had on the market in the US when the DSM was for sale. A bit more realistic.

GTR's are rich boys' toys for sure. As far as them being sexy To each his own.

....Agreed on the Nissan thing. But, you can't get much Ferrari for 90k, and 90k into a steel frame big block Camaro....now that's a serious waste of money. Again, to each his own.

The truth is who cares what would get waxed by the Nissan? They have road presence and you won't mistake that, and they've got incredible technology sure, but, it's an $80,000 dollar Nissan with probably $40-50K in mods.....yes, impressive. But, it's got no soul at all. And they don't sound great, definitely doesn't have the sound of the RB26 that got us all interested in these cars in the first place. Would it be on my top 50 cars to own if I was a millionaire, maybe, but it definitely wouldn't be anywhere near the top of the list, regardless of how quick it is. No matter how fast it is, it's still a 3800 lb. beast.

Not unless you want to buy a Ferrari. The GT-R was purpose built to be a supercar that could be daily driven. The only car that could even touch it terms of streetability would be the ferrari f-3784990-0 something or another. I hate the ferrari model number.

im just not all about going fast..yes going fast is great..but i look at more than it's 0-60, 1/4 mile, and top speed. i like history behind cars and their tradition. plus, a yenko will only appreciate in value as they were a very limited produced vehicle. plus, there's just something about newer cars that takes away from the fun in driving a vehicle. i would rather have to put forth an effort to shift a car rather than paddle shifters. then again, i prefer to be old school.

He's pretty much dead on. GTR's other purpose was to be an actual drivable car. Not like pos ferraris looking nice to gain some collectors price. Search youtube when jay leno talks to usa nissan rep.

Correct me if im wrong but i didnt think a yenko was a production car. It had to be ordered and they were actually hard to obtain.

It's impressive, that's for sure. I know Shep's been working on the trans issues that car is known for, and it looks like its holding up.

The GTR is a great car for the price. It is classified as a "super car"... and we all know tend to run well over 100k!

herms: you're correct. The Yenko Camaro was modified by the Yenko Chevy Dealer. Depending on how many were made dictates if its a "production" car. Carol Shelby made between 500-1000 of the various Shelby Dodges in order to get "production" car status on each model modified.
