JMF Heatshield for FP Cast Manifold - Modification

I just welded one of the brakets to the front of the fp mani, and welded in two bolts to the bracket so that it uses the original holes. It works perfect.

I was thinking of doing just that. I was also thinking of welding 2 bolts directly on to my FP manifold. Then just sliding the heat shield through the holes and using 2 bolts to tighten it down.

The bracket that they made is a PITA to remove and put back on so the "weld on 2 bolts" solution seems the most reasonable and practical.

Good luck getting a good weld to stick on the cast iron FP mani...
Pulled from FP's website: "Our FPRace Manifold is made in D5S Ni-Resist Turbine housing material, not inferior generic cast iron."

It should weld up just like cast steel (like our factory manifolds), which welds great.
