Iv been searching forums for over an hour and cant find the answer to my question.
Just purchased this o2 and was wondering if anyone has this.
Also when you look up the downpipe side there is a big ridge from where the turbine dump is welded to the bigger pipe that attaches to the dp.
Not against the flow of exhaust but looks like a noticeable restriction.
heres link with pics cant actually see up the dp side

I got mine from Ebay for about $30 and it has held up perfect. Some companies sell them for a bit more and they are even better than the Ebay ones. IMO, O2 housings such as these are bought for the name, not the quality.

Not everyone likes cheap ass Ebay parts on there car. This why alot of companies don't bother developing products for our cars because we rather buy it on ebay. :toobad:

It doesn't necessarily have to be eBay. The evo3 housing is the same 2.5"

The workmanship is amazing but $300 for less than a foot of piping and 2 flanges is stupendous especially since an exhaust manifold is $750 and it has the same quality of welds

I have this piece. I support the hell out of JMF, and don't give a flying f^ck what people say about how awesome their ebay piece is simply because it cost $280 less. People that say that are idiots, and the REAL innovators and people who drive the industry and make modding your car possible agree with me. I make money to spend it on things I like, that make me happy. That said, I will echo what has been said about the JMF piece, the design could have been better....if it weren't trying to keep everything in exactly the same configuration as stock. Once you look at the portwork and welding on this piece, its much much better done than any ebay piece, and there is a lot of craftmanship involved. I'd probably argue whether or not its fully a third as one of their manifolds as reflected by comparing costs, but If you want to stay totally stock with regards to downpipe fitment, turbo placement, O2 sensor placement, etc...This is the best recirculating O2 housing period, IMHO. I'd prefer to think that JMF manifolds are actually a damn good deal, if you compare costs of some of the other top tier manifolds from other manufacturers, for other platforms.
But... If you want to fab up a new downpipe and bend your dipstick a little, then hell yes there are better flowing options that don't immediately go into a 90 degree bend at the flange.

The innovators and inventors are the ones that fabricate parts by themselves and create new parts. People such as Paul, Glenn, and several others.

People that can sell a $100 part for $300 are great businessmen. (Hk$, greedy)

People that buy into the name have a false sense that more $$ always means higher quality or they are just superficial and want to show off.

And of course a great businessman will agree with you, because it'll make you sleep well at night and he'll get rich.

:applause: Well said.

I agree with you there, Paul, Glenn, and several others DO offer great services for cheap.
You are completely ignoring the costs associated with maintaining a business that, very conveniently for everyone thats not lucky you and me on the Glenn-Paul-Justin rich forum, can take credit cards from anybody, advertises, maintains inventory, and ship worldwide...as opposed to offering quality services to lucky forum members on the side....you think you know what backorder is now, LOLing my ass off at you if 10 people a day want a turbo rebuilt, or something fabbed, which is a fraction of the business volume that any "name brand" place does.
You have to pay to play, pure and simple. If you think the last 5 years of knockoff competition hasn't done a lot to iron out the outrageous prices "name brand" manufacturers have been known to charge (HKS...Greddy....cough) you need to research. Name me one chinese manufacturer that sponsors a car, innovates, or produces new technology. Thank god the industry can soak up the losses from the people who can't afford to play the game, and feed those parasitic ripoff knockoff companies by half-assing their car.....wait....where did HKS USA go again? Where did AMS go again?

And explain to me why helping to make AMERICAN manufacturers get "rich" (by rich, you really mean dump money back into the scene you enjoy so much, in the form of R&D and new products), as opposed to chinese ripoff artists, is a bad thing?

Quit whining that your manifold cost more than your xbox. They damn well should.
