JE Assymetrical Piston install, which side of cylinder would be major torque side

Ok guys so I ordered a new set of JE's Assymetrical pistons JE Pistons Asymmetrical Design Overview - YouTube which have a major torque side and a minor, how would I know which side to out the major torque on. I would imagine it would be where my piston damage has already occured. And yes my cylinder wall is fine, no ridges or anything. Just want to know which side should be where?

The damage is near the back of the block. I guess this should be major torque side?

This thread is 4 years old. And yes I'm sure JAM is right, The link very much confirms it also.

I already said I know it's old but still looking to confirm a answer. So what does it matter if it's old.
According to that link the major thrust side is on the left ( or exhaust side )when looking from the timing belt side.
 
Look at the picture, the major thrust side is the same direction of the crank, no matter which side it's on, it's going to follow the rotation of the crank.

Our crank like most spin clockwise from the crank pulley side. That picture shows a crank spinning clockwise with the major thrust load being on the left.
 
It's just a basic picture to show for reference. I'm not sure what your understanding here?


It shows the major thrust side as being on the left of a engine that spins clockwise when looking at it from the timing side. but Jackson says the major thrust is on the right when looking from the timing side. I a, trying to 100% confirm this. I'm not sure what about the question you don't understand. If you don't know the answer it's fine.
With JE pistons you need to know for sure which is the major thrust side. As that's the side that gets the larger piston thrust surface.
 
Heres my guess and i have no education on the matter but basic common sense. Look at the picture, it shows thrust on the left in red. This is on the down stroke after top dead center from the looks of it, the rod is angled as if it is pushing the piston against the left side of the wall (exhaust side). On the up stroke, the rod would be pushing tword the right (intake) side. I think jackson is wrong. And you should follow the manufacturers instructions.
