I wasn't sure if the Galant 6 bolt automatics are in anyway different from the manuals. Can I just get a 6 bolt flywheel and clutch to mate it with my 7 bolt 5 speed tranny? I know of all the other info on doing the 6 bolt swap but I want to make sure the auto's weren't made different in any case. The reason I'm going through this is because I can get the automatic a lot cheaper than the 5 speed and have less of a chance that its beat. Thanx! :thumb:

The cams are less aggressive and the injectors are smaller, at least on other 1G DSM engines. I wasn't sure from your post if you were interested in that part of the engine or not, but just in case...

And of course the A/T motor won't have a flywheel. :D

I wasn't sure if the JDM motor was different than the USDM. I remember that the automatics here ran a smaller turbo too. Yeah, I was interested in injector size and cam size. I think the guy at the shop was tryin to rip me off. He told me that there was no difference. :thumbdown
