Calgary,
I was about to go and splice my 90 TSi harness into the JDM Supposed '91 Eclipse GSX harness. But then I notice on some of the connectors, there were different colored wires in some spots.

Is there a schematic for the JDM harness so I can correctly splice into my current harness? The engine came with the harness with the main harness (stuff with tons of wires) hacked off. Most of the connectors seem the same.. But I want to make sure

The '90 and '92 are different beasts entirely. Hell, the '90 is different from any other model year electrically. The sensors are different, tacho interface is different, and if you got a late-model '92 engine, that'd make it a seven-bolt.
Guess that's what you get for buying a Japanese junkyard motor though. All 'JDM' means.

You're going to want to pull your old coilpack, power transistor, CAS, throttle body (and all associated sensors on that. pretty much just swap on the old intake manifold and toss the new one), and put them on the 'new' engine. There might be a few others that are slipping my mind. Oh, your oil filter housing too. The '90 had an external air/oil cooler, while the '92 used an oil/water unit that can rupture if you overtighten it, mixing oil and coolant.

Seriously, did you research the differences between the engine model years at all before plunking down for those three 'magic' letters?

Short version, yes. The '92 has a completely different harness than the '90. No, you can't really hack it to make it fit.

First of all, I didn't go crazy just to say "oh my god I have a JDM motor"
My old one blew and the clutch died on my tranny, I was looking for a solution other than a rebuild.

Did you know you can still be helpful without being a jackass? I know its great that you have this knowledge, that I didn't have at the time, but it doesn't mean you need to go ballistic and give yourself a hernia while trying to reply to my message.

Thank you anyways though.

I have been looking at the harness, and everything looks the same except a couple wires are just different colors. I looked at my old motor, everything looks the same as this one, but on some of the connectors there is different colors. It's just a matter of locating which ones go where.

What I'm saying is that I need to splice into my current harness, because the harness that came on the motor was for RHD, and was hacked off in the back of the intake manifold.
