Hi DSM Tuners!

I bought a year 1996 Eclipse GST a week ago and I love it. :)
Car is from Japan, so few things differ from the US Eclipse..(No leather interior and no cruise control, kilometers in the speed meter and rear lights have yellow color in the turn signal part. And...There is japanese text! :p

So, I would like to know what the writings on the sticker of the driver's door means.

Could it be changed timing belt, or some other important repair notice? What ever it is, it was made quite recently.

If there is anyone who understands Japan, please help. :)

Thanks!

Thanks for the replies guys. BTW, does anyone have 2g Eclipse GST manual or service book in pdf form? Of course the car did not came with them. :( I would be greatly thankful if someone could send it to me via IM for example. :)

That rocker trim sure does look like some crap from a Japanese tuner shop. Dynamic and Explosive? Yeah, you bet your mama-san.

Good job with the 2G BOV, though. It's probably not been beaten half to death.

Yet.

The kanji is basically "last done" or similar such translation. The 18 refers to the year in the Japanese calendar and is the year of the current emperor. At the moment we are in Heisei 20, so year 18 will be 2007.

And for bonus points, it looks like the oil was checked at a garage in Saitama (just north west of Tokyo)

Hi again people!

I have few more japanese languange stickers, no idea what they mean..

So please if someone here could help me again, just important to know what have been made to the car, even those stickers are pretty old and car has 95 000 kilometers in the meter. :)

Those stickers are 5 and 7 years old respectively. They are stickers that are put on by garages when they conduct an oil change or do basic maintenance, so you know when it was done and what was put in. In this case, you had "economy" and "sealing" oil put into the car.

Wow nice to provide us with some up close personal pics of "JDM" DSM. Still sounds weird.

Your side mirrors fold in correct?

Also notice how you have cloth interior yet have a leather wrapped steering wheel. I had a GS-T with cloth, and the steering wheel was not leather wrapped. Unless the owner switched yours.

I like that marking on the door sill that says made by D.S.M. I wouldn't mind that cheesy artifact on my vehicle. Something JDM that originated from USDM, yet we still cannot have.
