I didn't know where to post this, thought this was the most relative forum so..

I turn my sterring wheel and it goes, "click,click,click,click,click,click,click,click,click,click,click,click,click,click,click,click,click,click,click,click,click,click,click,click,click,click,click".. I was told it was my CV joints? is that right? and if so...what are CV joints? :laser: :thumbdown

Its probably too late if you've been hearing those clicking noises for awhile. Just replace the entire cv joint. I would suggest replacing both front ones while your at it. Heres a vfaq on it:

You can rebuild it if you like. I personally choose to just replace the whole thing. Heres a vfaq on rebuilding the cv joint yourself:

Good luck! :thumb:

is it to late, or can I start slapping on the grease?
There is a rubber, accordian-looking boot that goes over the CV joint. It serves the purpose of keeping grease in and dirt/debris out. The reason it is clicking is because it is starved of grease. The reason it is starved of grease it because that rubber boot is torn and all of the grease it drained out. Usually, if the tear is small and you catch the problem quick enough, it is fixable. Get a new boot and pump it full of grease. But usually, once it starts clicking, it's too late. It has been starved for too long and the joint is packed full of dirt. Rebuilt shafts from parts stores are about $80 each. Nice/stronger ones from Fidanza run about $220 each. I hope this helps, and Good luck. :thumb:
