It almost track time boy 2010 setup

I'd like to see this car actually hit the track, instead of us being the only DSM at most import events.

He was up at MIR when you guys were running Imports vs. Domestics, but the car wasn't finished. I'm keeping him on track to get this thing running so it can at least do some Test and Tune by spring. There really does need to be more dsm's representing at these events. I think maybe 3 were running that day?

Verry nice setup, I wish you luck this season.

Gooberlog.. your a doush. I hope you wrap your car around a pole with you in it. Canadians are knowen world wide for their kindness. Saying we are all assholes just shows your lack of intelegence, and what kind of asshole you are.
Your American.. I guess your big into Nascar and sleeping with your cousin. That sounds pretty stupid doesn't it? Just because a few Americans like Nascar doesn't mean you all do. And just because your mom slept with her cousin doesn't mean you all do, it just means we end up with people like you around :thumb:

No, but i do have a great sense of humor. Thanks for the laugh.

Sounds like a good build any pics of the car itself. And were you get that Stage brake from, what modifications do you have to do to install this?

its a cnc brakes stage brake.. However it uses its own master.. using this style means his pedal will only operate the front brakes.

I use one but mine is inline meaning it will operate whatever is behind it only but have no effect under normal braking conditions.

I don't give a rats ass WHAT size tires he run. There ain't a trans out there that will let you go that fast in 3rd gear in a DSM gearbox.

Although I'm not here to start more shit fighting about this gear vs mph but in my 1g drag car when it was 5 sp I was trapping around 130 mph in 3rd gear. Typically it was around 127 when I shifted but did see one time 132mph at well over 11,000 rpm on 26 inch tires.

Nice build, keep us updated!

I also am confused about the whole 3rd gear and 128mph trap.... With my old set up I was going through the traps between 7000-7500rpm in 4th and traping low to mid 130's... To trap that in 3rd gear just isn't going to happen unless your reving 10k+

He and I were probably both mistaken on what gear he was in trapping 128. The run was a while ago, and honestly i was probably off when i said it was possible. He was probably in a different gear than what he remembered as the run was years ago. That run doesn't matter though. That trap of 128 was on a smaller set up and that wasn't a strong pass either. I'm anxious to see this thing make a good clean pass this year.

Hey Charles, that stage brake looks pretty mean. It needs to go from the dining room to the front seat of the talon though! Let me know when your working on the car, just shoot me a text or a call. I think i'll have to take you up on your offer for that other set up soon.

Why do people want to be the one to call omeone out on being wrong about something all the time. WHo cares what gear he was in years ago on some random run on a old setup. It's what your doing now that matters not what you did unless what you did changed the way people do things now(Shep, kiggly, magnus ect.) SInce he doesn't claim to be any of those things and just is sharing what he's up to now give it a rest about what gear and trap speads.

As for what the turbo is or isn't....WHO CARES. Josh and company who cares what you have heard or haven't heard a turbo called. There are probably a bunch of turbos you have never heard of running around. If a company modifys a turbo and then changes it's name guess what...that's what the thing is called period. Wether yo acknowledge it is another story but that's what it's called. Again for this thread and GP it doesn't even matter though.

I can tell by the profile pic he has cleaned off some rust and the car is looking ready for 2010. I wish the OP luck and hopefully we run into each other at a race or two this season.

Thanks looks like your buiding yourself a good dsm too. I will def be making a trip to MD this season as my favorite dsm people live out there. The boost boyz and girls !!!

Sounds good. Post a sheet. How the curve looks is as important as the peak numbers.
You make it to the Dyno? Nice car by the way. We need more pics...

What happened?

Shit hit the fan with some personal stuff at the last minute so he had so take some time away from the car. It's so freaking close to putting some nice single digit numbers on the board but some speed bumps have been thrown in the way. Trust me, weather he or I post it, you'll know when his car hits the track/dyno.
